What This Estimate Assumes

Rough estimate for one buy and one sell of the same shares at your broker’s fees, which you enter. SGX trades add the SGX clearing fee (0.0325%) and trading fee (0.0075%) on each side, plus 9% GST on those fees. If you choose it, 9% GST is added to commission and platform fee. US trades can add a per-share commission on top of the % commission, and add your FX spread each way when you convert S$ to US$ and back; the figures are in US$. No cap on the clearing fee is applied. Ignores CDP or custody charges, small US regulatory fees (the SEC fee and FINRA trading activity fee on sales, and the CAT fee on buys and sells), stamp duty, taxes and price moves while you trade. SGX and IRAS rates checked 12 October 2026. General information and estimates only, not financial, tax or legal advice.

Before You Use This Number

What Fees Does SGX Charge?

SGX charges a clearing fee of 0.0325% and a trading fee of 0.0075% of the traded value on each buy and sell, plus GST. Your broker adds its own commission.

Why Can A Small Trade Need A Big Rise?

A minimum commission is charged even on a small order, so it is a bigger share of a small trade. You pay it again when you sell.

What Is An FX Spread?

When you convert S$ to US$, the rate you get is usually a little worse than the mid-market rate. You pay that gap when you buy and again when you convert back.
