Our Method

How This Comparison Works

We rank fixed deposits for your chosen term by yearly rate. Estimated interest for the term = deposit × rate × months ÷ 12, with no reinvesting. The bank’s own figure uses its actual start and maturity dates. Offers with an end date drop out of the ranking after that date. Past T-bill results are never ranked against offers you can place today.

Only products we checked in the last 30 days can rank. Expired offers are left out. Paid links never change the order. We compare a selection of products, not every product on the market.

Each bank defines fresh funds (new money to the bank) in its own way. Confirm the rate before you place your deposit and check the early-withdrawal rules. Bank of China’s weekly mobile rates change every week and are excluded; only its dated new-to-bank offer is listed. Finance-company deposits (Hong Leong Finance, Singapura Finance, Sing Investments & Finance) are SDIC-insured on the same terms as bank deposits: Singapore-dollar deposits up to S$100,000 per person per bank or finance company (SDIC, sdic.org.sg, checked 6 Oct 2026). Promotions that ended on 30 September 2026 (HSBC, Citibank, Standard Chartered) are excluded. Relationship-tier rates, CIMB Preferred Banking and Islamic deposit rates are outside this comparison. A T-bill’s cut-off yield is known only after auction; the historical reference is not an available offer or a forecast. No assumption is made about the next auction or future reinvestment rates.
