What This Estimate Assumes
Rough estimate only. For bank loans, TDSR caps all loan repayments at 55% of gross income. For HDB flats and applicable ECs, MSR also caps the home loan repayment at 30%. We test loans at 4% or more for bank loans and 3% or more for HDB loans. Leaves out LTV (loan-to-value) limits, age and tenure rules, income haircuts (banks counting only part of some income), credit checks and lender rules. For your real limit, get an HDB Flat Eligibility (HFE) letter or a bank’s in-principle approval (IPA).
