What This Estimate Assumes
Rough estimate for 2026 income (YA 2027), before rebates. YA 2027 uses the resident tax bands IRAS lists for YA 2024 onwards; Budget 2026 did not change them. Tax is charged on profit (net trade income: revenue minus allowable expenses). With a day job, the profit is added on top of your day-job chargeable income, so your day job sets the tax band, and no extra reliefs are added. Fully self-employed: we take off Earned Income Relief (S$1,000 under 55, S$6,000 at 55 to 59, S$8,000 from 60) and CPF relief on compulsory MediSave. IRAS gives that relief on the MediSave you paid during the year, which is based on the year before; we assume it was about the same. Other reliefs, such as SRS, are left out; add them in the Income Tax Estimator. Self-employed MediSave is compulsory once profit is above S$6,000: lower rates to S$12,000, phased rates to S$18,000, then 8% to 10.5% by age on profit up to S$96,000, rounded to whole dollars. A loss shows as S$0; it may reduce your other income, so check with IRAS. Platform-work earnings declared to CPF Board are left out. Verify your assessment with CPF Board and IRAS.
