How We Write And Check Our Guides

Each guide explains a Singapore money decision with worked examples you can redo in our calculators. This page shows how we research, review, date and correct them.

How Do We Check The Facts?

We check the rules, rates and limits in our guides against official sources such as CPF Board, IRAS, HDB, MOM, MOH, MAS and MoneySense. Each guide lists its sources. Our How We Calculate page lists the key figures our calculators use, with the dates we checked them.

Worked examples use the same tested formulas as the linked calculator, so you can open the example and change the inputs. News or forums can prompt a check, but we never take a figure from them.

What Do “Updated” And “Facts Checked On” Mean?

Updated is the date the page itself last changed. Facts Checked On is the date we last checked the guide’s rules and figures against its official sources. The two can differ. Rewording a page does not recheck its facts, and a recheck may find nothing needs to change.

Each guide also has a planned review date. Guides that use yearly rates are rechecked when the new rules start. Dated monthly reviews are snapshots, not live feeds.

Who Writes And Reviews The Guides?

Guides are written by members of the WealthMastery.sg team: Calvin Woon and Patricia Lin. Each guide names its writer in the byline. A byline does not mean the writer holds professional qualifications or licences. The guides are general information, not advice.

Every guide carries the line “Reviewed By The WealthMastery Editorial Team”. It means a team member checked the figures, examples and sources before the guide was published or updated. It is an editorial check, not personalised financial advice.

How Is The Site Funded?

We may earn a fee from partner links. It never affects our calculations or rankings.

This site promotes educational webinars by Wealth Mastery Asia. That is a commercial relationship, not an independent endorsement. Free introductory sessions may introduce paid training. See About for details.

How Do We Handle Corrections?

If you spot an outdated rule, a wrong figure or an unclear example, suggest a correction on our contact form with the page and the issue. Please leave out account numbers and other sensitive details.

We check your report against the official source. If a correction changes a figure or a conclusion, we update the page and its Updated date. If we rechecked the facts, we also update its Facts Checked On date.

This page describes our editorial process as of 29 September 2026. It is not financial advice.
